The Northbridge Trainee program

Join us and take part in a seven-month intensive program that combines classroom learning and on-the-job training to prepare you for a rewarding career in the insurance industry.

Who we’re looking for

The Trainee program is geared towards new or recent university graduates who are curious to learn and passionate about making a difference in the insurance industry. No prior knowledge of or experience with insurance is required. Our ideal candidate is someone who is:

A quick learner

You grasp concepts easily and enjoy working independently with minimal supervision.

Ambitious and self-motivated

You’re a self-starter and a natural leader.

Passionate

You’re interested in making a difference and creating positive changes.

What you can expect

Based out of our head office in downtown Toronto, the seven-month program provides trainees with the opportunity to participate in:

Classroom training

Starting your CIP designation

On-the-job training

Where you’ll be headed

After a seven-month training period, you’ll have the opportunity to specialize in:

Underwriting

Help decide who and what to insure based on risk assessment.

Claims

Help customers who have experienced an insured loss.

How to apply

The application process opens in October and you can apply right here on our website. Qualified candidates can expect to participate in a telephone interview and two face-to-face interviews designed to be interactive and collaborative to ensure we get a well-rounded understanding of each candidate’s capabilities. Successful candidates will begin the program in May 2017.
